Our Story

From its inception Middle East Television/METV has been committed to bringing the Gospel message of hope and peace to the troubled Middle East. METV began broadcasting wholesome family entertainment in 1982 from a television van parked on the border of Israel and Lebanon. The gospel began to glow as a bright candle from what then was the only independent television station in the Middle East. Because of its vulnerability to the forces of local politics, war and terrorism, METV's growth and endurance through the decades can only be attributed to the grace and protection of God. Today METV continues to shine even brighter, bringing the light of the gospel to at least 24 Middle East, Africa and European nations, 24 hours a day, via satellite. METV is owned by LeSEA Broadcasting, who, through television, radio, shortwave and satellite broadcasting, plus its world relief organizations, touches every country on the planet with the word of God.
