From its conception Middle East Television/METV has been committed to
bringing the Gospel message of hope and peace to the troubled Middle
East. METV began broadcasting wholesome family entertainment in 1982
from a television van parked on the border of Israel and Lebanon. The
gospel began to glow as a bright candle from what then was the only
independent television station in the Middle East. Because of its
vulnerability to the forces of local politics, war and terrorism,
METV's growth and endurance through the decades can only be attributed
to the grace and protection of God. Today METV continues to shine even
brighter, bringing the light of the gospel to at least 24 Middle East,
Africa and European nations, 24 hours a day, via satellite.
METV is owned by LeSEA Broadcasting, who, through television,
radio, shortwave and satellite broadcasting, plus its world relief
organizations, touches every country on the planet with the word of
God. Please browse though our website to learn more about us, and our
operations.
**Important Note: METV is now on channel 73 on HOT**

METV is part of the vision that the late
Dr. Lester Sumrall received from God to own and
operate television and radio stations so that
Christian voices could not be silenced. It was
revealed to him that there would come a time when
Christian programmers would not be able to
purchase airtime. Today many stations still refuse to
sell time, even on Sunday, to religious broadcasters.
Dr. Sumrall knew electronic media to be a powerful
tool for evangelism and it was his vision that God's
Word be available for all to hear.
